Life lesson

Like a young child carried by its mother, was how David’s dependence on God. That was the only reason he came to be known as Man of God’s own heart. Psalms 131 reveals the heart and mind of David.

He prays to the Lord, “O Lord, my heart is not proud, nor do I have a haughty look. I do not have great aspirations, or concern myself with things that are beyond me. Indeed I am composed and quiet, like a young child carried by its mother; I am content like the young child I carry.”

David’s son was absolutely away from his father’s life lessons. His son Solomon was so hungry to acquire all the wealth and wisdom of the world. Ecclesiastes 1: 16-18 describes his experience of handling worldly wisdom and wealth. “I thought to myself, I have become much wiser than any of my predecessors who ruled over Jerusalem; I have acquired much wisdom and knowledge. So I decided to discern the benefit of wisdom and knowledge over foolish behaviour and ideas; however, I concluded that even this endeavour is like trying to chase the wind! For with great wisdom comes great frustration; whoever increases his knowledge merely increases his heartache.”

The World demands wealth and wisdom. The world will teach us about what we need. But the one who is from the other world, the Son of man teaches us to be poor in the Spirit. He said to us, be like a newborn baby to enter His Kingdom. Where are you standing? Are you walking in the shoe of King David or King Solomon? You can’t walk in two different shoes. You have to choose one pair and you can’t serve two masters. Do you know the reason behind the failure of King Solomon? One prime reason behind his failure was, he failed to know the purpose of his life. If he could realize, his creator was the reason behind his living, he would have found life in everything that he found as ‘Vain.’

Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 1: 27-31 say’s, “But God chose what the world thinks foolish to shame the wise, and God chose what the world thinks weak to shame the strong. God chose what is low and despised in the world, what is regarded as nothing, to set aside what is regarded as something, so that no one can boast in his presence. Father God is the reason you have a relationship with Jesus Christ, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

Amen.

  1. Excellent. When all you’ve is God Jesus and Holy Spirit and all you need is God Jesus Holy Spirit, then your wisdom is full and purpose is refined. Thank you so much!!! ❤

  2. We were made to know our Father in heaven. So let us stand firm in Christ and with the help of the Holy Ghost draw closer to our Creator. Without him we are nothing and apart from him nothing else matters. I pray He will be my addiction.
